The main purpose of the European project "Casa Europa" is to make known the
life, culture and history of other European countries and their inhabitants. This project is
promoted by:
- The Association Casa Europa S.c.a.r.l. in the province of Forli/Cesena
and the municipality of Sarsina (region Emilia Romagna, Italy).
- The Association Casa Europa in Cehegín and the municipalities of Bullas,
Calasparra and Cehegín (region of Murcia, Spain)
- The Association for the regional development in Kassel (region of Kassel, Germany).
The European Union subsidises the project "Casa Europa" through the
"European programme of interregional cooperation for cultural economic development in
accordance with article 10 of the F.E.D.E.R. regulation."
The project "Casa Europa" represents the creation and permanent setting
of a network among the promoting associations which make up and organise this network in
close cooperation with other initiatives and public and private institutions.
Key points of the project are:
- The rehabilitation of historical buildings and their refurbishment
as accommodation and exchange centres (Casas Europa), especially for the young. In the
centre of attraction we find the Casas Europa in Wüllmersen Castle (Trendelburg, Kassel),
in Cehegín (region of Murcia, Spain) and in Sarsina (province of Forli, Italy).

- the construction of workshops for courses and exchanges to take place.
- the constitution of a network among the regions and the participant
initiatives through modern communication technologies in order to improve the flow of
information among these regions.
- The design and carrying out of a cultural tourist offer by means
of workshops and transnational exchanges on specific topics of the regions involved:
Building and traditional craft methods.
Culture.
Craftsmanship.
