The Association for the development of the region of Kassel

wants to preserve the characteristic features of the region and to open new perspectives for the future. It was founded in 1993 and among its members there are 14 towns and municipalities, the region of Kassel, the regional occupational house of Hofgeismar-Wolfhagen, the regional peasant association, the Protestant parish of Hofgeismar, the regional association of countrywomen, trade unions as well as other regional associations, institutions, initiatives and individuals.

Purposes of the association:
Development and improvement of the economic, social and environmental living conditions in the region through:
The analysis of the problems and the development of projects with future prospects.
The proper directing of regional initiatives.
The exchanges with other European regions.
The co-operation in regional projects.

Since the beginning of 1997 the project "Casa Europa" has been carried out in association with partners from the province of Forli/Cesena (region Emilia Romagna, Italy) and the region of Murcia (municipalities of Cehegín, Bullas and Calasparra, Spain) with financial help of the European programme EFRE, article 10.

The association for the regional development in the region of Kassel is responsible for the coordination on the project "Casa Europa" in the region and they will kindly answer any questions you should have concerning the participant regions, accommodation premises and the planned exchanges.

Casa Europa. Exchange-promoting association.

This organism is in charge of the management and spreading of the international project "Casa Europa" in Spain.

In the bosom of this association, we find several local institutions from the inland of the region of Murcia:

- Municipality of Bullas
- Municipality of Calasparra
- Municipality of Cehegin

The main purposes of the Association are:

- Promoting the cultural exchanges and the international cooperation.
- Favouring the socio-economic development through activities concerning CULTURAL TOURISM (Formative tourism)

"Casa Europa" in Sarsina (organises as a limited cooperative) was created to manage the project Casa Europa in Italy.

The regional institutions associated are:

- The province of Forlė.
- The mountain community of Cesenate (association of mountain municipalities in the surroundings of Cesena).
- The municipality of Sarsina.
- The association of building businesses of the province of Forli.
- Confartigianato di Cesena e Circondaio (association of experienced workers of Forli and its surroundings).
- C.N.A. of Forli (National Confederation of Experienced Workers of Forli)
- Committee of twinned towns of Sarsina.

The main purposes of this association are:

- The improvement of the economic and cultural development through activities related to cultural tourism.
- The management of Casa Europa in Sarsina (town of Turrito)
