The castle "Casa Europa" in Wüllmersen is located in the district Weser-Diemel, in the grass-green northern part of the region of Kassel, which belongs to the German Land of Hessen.

Since 1987 this castle has been an example of the perfect combination of professional training and insertion and the conservation of national monuments. Young jobless people preserve 12th - 19th century historical buildings following the instructions of experts and in cooperation with specialised businesses. The castle is owned by the "Aus - und fortbildungsverbund" (AuF) in the region of Kassel. The castle is now being used as a workshop for the qualification in old craftsmanship techniques, as an international "Casa Europa" meeting point, as a youth camp and as an active museum focusing particularly on craftsmanship and agricultural techniques as well as on regional history. Since 1987 there has been a systematic support to the European work with young people as part of the labour carried out by the "Aus - und Fortbildungsverbund (AuF)" in the region of Kassel.

Wüllmersen Castle is a place where you can experience history and take the oportunity to get practical training.

The castle can be rented partially or totally. The accommodation charges for the bedrooms are approximately 750 pts. per person and day, and about 500 pts. in the camping site. Making use of the kitchen costs about 1,700 pts a day. The arrival and departure are charged together as one single day. The rental charges do not include any extra services or supply of food. The cleaning of the rooms and other facilities must be undertaken by the group themselves and they should be left clean and tidy on the day of departure. The rental season is from May to October.
